Anna Volerman, MD

Program Co-Director

Anna Volerman is a primary care doctor and health services researcher who is committed to empowering youth, improving systems of care, and reducing inequities in communities. She founded and leads the ACHIEVE program in partnership with co-leaders, steering committee, and students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Todd Barnett, MA

Program Co-Director

Todd is the co-founder of ACHIEVE and Director of Partnerships and Family & Community Engagement at the University of Chicago Charter School. He oversees collaborations and programs between UChicago Charter and its community partners to foster relationships and offer programs to support UChicago Charter’s mission to prepare 100% of students for college graduation. Prior to his current role, Todd served as the Donoghue Campus’s Founding Director of Family and Community Engagement. As part of both the campus design and founding leadership teams, Todd’s work is highlighted in the published book, “The Ambitious Elementary School” by Hassrick, Rosen and Raudenbush.

 

 

 

 

 

LaTonya Hill, MS, LCPC

Program Coordinator

LaTonya Hill is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, the Director of Family and Community Engagement at the University of Chicago Charter School and serves as the Program Coordinator for the ACHIEVE program. She is passionate about supporting others in utilizing the protective factors in their village to promote and sustain their overall health and wellness.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monica Kowalczyk, MPH

Program Manager

Monica has been involved in ACHIEVE since February 2021. Her role includes supporting the partnerships between ACHIEVE and community organizations, mentoring students on their community-based projects, facilitating seminars, and evaluating the program. Additionally, Monica serves as a research project coordinator at UChicago Medicine, supporting projects related to school health and gender equity.
